I almost missed my flight, can you believe it!?

Dear blogreaders,
seriously, you're not going to believe this, but I almost missed my flight! I went to Schiphol at 5pm, I checked in on time, had romantic dinner with my family at Burger King and I made sure that I was on time at the gate so I wont miss my flight. I was quite relaxed though since it wasn't the first time I fly on my own. However, i mixed up the seatnumber and the gatenumber so I got completely confused. Seriously, if I'd noticed it 5 minutes later the plane would have already been gone. So that was a bit stressy, and when I arrived at the airport I had to wait for like 40 minutes because of the passport check thingie they do there at London Heathrow. The worst thing was that when it was finally my turn to show my passport, this staffmember asked me if I was with my mum or something because I wasn't allowed to be there on my own!? It didn't make sense to me at all, but after all I arrived safely at the airport and Jonathan and Pete were picking me up. It was nice to see them again since it was such a long time ago.
They drive me to their place in Aldershot, Maud was already waiting for us and when I arrived there we talked for hours and hours and I went to bed at 2am dutch time..
This morning I woke up and had a chat with Maud. Pete was really suprised that I was already awake this early since it was 8am British time. After breakfast they gave me lovely presents including a very nice bracelet which I put on right away (: Then I had a shower and went together with Pete and Maud to Guildford. The weather was horrible and it still is rainy here at the moment, but Guildford is a beautiful city. We went to the shop in which I'm going to work at for a couple of days next week and met the manager. We just had a quick talk because it was so busy. I was still a bit nervous because I had no idea what to expect. However, when I met David, the manager, I felt a bit better and to celebrate that we went to café Nero and had a coffee :) Finally we went to Primark and I bought 2 pair of shoes for 5,50 pounds! ;D It was really busy in there as well, so we didn't stay long. After our visit in Guildford we went to another shopping centre but I was so tired that we didn't stay there that long either. I met a lot of people though! Pete and Maud seriously know everyone over there, so I got introduced to all these people. It was nice to spend some time with Pete and Maud, they are really lovely.
When we got back home I met their other son James and we watched some tv, had dinner and just relaxed. I feel really comfortable here :) I'm very tired though so I'm off to bed and I'll keep you guys on track!

It sounds that you are realy enjoying yourself and use every minute that your there. Give my love to Peter and Maud and the boys. Have fun.... Luv u, vlekjes
